Short Description
Provide phlebotomy services for adolescent and adult patients for laboratory testing. Collect blood primarily by performing venipuncture and fingerstick. Blood may be collected from infants by means of a heel stick or from scalp veins with a butterfly needle
Experience Required
- Reliable and punctual with the ability to work evening and night shifts
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and safety measures
- Intermediate computer skills for data entry and record keeping
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program
License/Certification Requirements
- National Phlebotomy certification or equivalent is preferred
The New Jersey Pay Transparency Act requires disclosure of the pay range for this position.
