Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper – South Jersey’s only acute-care children’s hospital – provides advanced diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for children with surgical needs. As the only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center in South Jersey offering pediatric surgical services, we are equipped and skilled to respond quickly when urgent care is needed.  Cooper treats a wide range conditions, including hernia repair, appendix removal, inflammatory bowel disease, and gastrointestinal reflux disease, among others so children receive the care they need while staying close to home.

The Pediatric Surgeon provides advanced surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents across a broad range of complex and routine pediatric conditions. This role supports Cooper University Health Care’s mission of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while advancing clinical excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and academic medicine within the Children’s Regional Hospital.

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Active New Jersey medical license
• Completion of an accredited pediatric surgery training program
• Innovative spirit in the clinical setting, superior teamwork with interdisciplinary collaborative approach, desire to work with underserved populations

• Fully support the academic, clinical, and educational missions of our program including creating scholarly work, improving quality metrics, and creating a positive learning environment
• Display the communication, and interpersonal skills required to build an active clinical practice, develop areas of productive scholarship, and recruit additional faculty
• Significantly influence the direction of our program, and join like-minded faculty committed to our mission of being at the cutting edge of Pediatric Surgery!
