Short Description
This role supports various projects in the Division of Addiction Medicine including in fixed clinics and the Addiction Medicine Mobile Clinic.
Support for the Addiction Medicine Mobile Clinic will include towing the mobile clinic to and from community-service sites across Camden City and Camden County, preparing the vehicle for travel, and assisting with clinic setup and takedown.
It also includes refueling, replenishing water, performing housekeeping duties, engaging with patients, and directing workflows during mobile clinic hours.
Support for fixed clinic locations will include housekeeping responsibilities, monitoring and maintaining patient shower facilities, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Maintain cleanliness of the mobile health unit by thoroughly cleaning the interior after each shift, sanitizing patient areas between visits, and washing the exterior as needed.
As part of fixed clinic support, clean and monitor patient shower facilities as needed to uphold hygiene standards and ensure a safe, welcoming care environment.
Securely attach and detach the Mobile Health Care Unit (MHCU) trailer to the designated vehicle, following all pre-trip and post-trip inspection protocols.
Safely transport the MHCU to and from prescheduled community service sites using an approved Cooper vehicle, ensuring proper parking, stabilization, and readiness for clinical operations.
Conduct vehicle inspections as needed to verify operational readiness and promptly report any identified issues to the project team for resolution.
Demonstrate comfort and professionalism when engaging with potential patients or clients—including individuals who may be unhoused or experiencing substance use—in both mobile clinic sites and the fixed clinic location, fostering a respectful, inclusive, and supportive care environment.
Coordinate with community-partner staff to manage parking and site logistics, while maintaining situational awareness to ensure safe, efficient, and respectful operations at all mobile and fixed clinic locations.
Monitor and replenish supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE), and sanitation materials on the mobile unit to ensure readiness for daily operations and uninterrupted patient care.
Fill vehicle with gas and water, as well as coordinating with contractor agency responsible for emptying grey and black water tanks
As needed assist with site set up and take down (putting out benches, easy-up, etc)
Adhere to infection control, safety, and confidentiality guidelines.
Experience Required
Requires experience driving and towing, which may include personal or professional experience, or a demonstrated understanding of safe towing practices and trailer maneuvering.
Strong customer service and event coordination skills are a plus, especially for engaging diverse communities, managing logistics in dynamic settings, to create a welcoming and organized clinic environment for both mobile and fixed clinic operations.
