Cooper University Hospital, located in Camden, NJ, is a Level IIIB Regional Perinatal Center and Trauma Center, well-known for providing high quality care. The hospital is easily accessed from multiple Southern New Jersey suburban locations or from Philadelphia by car or public transportation. New York City and the Pocono Mountain resort areas are just two hours away. This sought after locale is also just an hour away from the Jersey Shore. Cooper University Hospital is the major teaching hospital for Cooper Medical School at Rowan University (CMSRU). Since 2011, this medical school has promoted major innovative programs in medical education focusing on, service to the community and preparing future physicians to flourish in the changing healthcare environment.


Short Description

Cooper University Health Care (CUHC) and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) are actively committed to diversity at all levels of the organization and are seeking an additional Board Certified/Eligible Neonatologist to join the faculty of the Division of Neonatology at The Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper. This is a full-time clinical position, but protected time for research (clinical/translational/basic) and administrative responsibilities would be available for the right candidate. Preference will be given to those with 3-5 years post-fellowship experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of teamwork; ability to care for a diverse patient population; excellent communication skills; an interest in academics; and, most importantly, a compelling desire to share our mission “To Serve, To Heal, To Educate.” Candidates should be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. For those interested in basic research, bench space and access to resources will be available. Ongoing laboratory research in the Division of Neonatology includes studies on developmental pulmonary pathology. Education Requirements

Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper and the Division of Neonatology at Cooper University Health Care seek candidates for a Neonatologist in the non-tenure, academic clinician track at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. Qualified candidates should be board certified/board eligible in Neonatology. Candidates should be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor or Professor at the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. Faculty appointment will be commensurate with qualifications.
