Short Description
- To provide patient care under the supervision of RN in the ambulatory surgery setting.
- Assist with patient ADL’s and daily care
- Communicates and supports with healthcare team and patients’ family and/or significant others
- Maintains and demonstrates high standards of ethics
- Performs technical duties as directed by RN ex: Vital signs, POC testing, EKG, Foley cath care documents appropriately
- Attends staff meetings
- Assist in admissions, transfers and discharges from Units
- Handling of clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks
- Maintains work knowledge and regulatory standards
- Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills
- Performance of excellent customer service skills
Experience Required
- Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection experience preferred
- Electronic health record experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
- Outstanding patient experience skills.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
