Subordinate in skill set, experience and responsibility to Sr. Network Architect and
Sr. Network Engineer.
Responsible for all facets of the day-to-day operations of Network Services to include the
management of all network electronics through the use of CLI as well as network
management tools (HP OpenView, CiscoWorks, and Cisco ACS).
Developed understanding of IP routing to include routing protocols, policy-based routing,
convergence of routing table updates, HSRP, ACLs, etc.
Working knowledge of the general principals of firewalls to include specific knowledge for
administering Checkpoint on Nokia platforms as well as Cisco PIX.
Capable of building, maintaining, monitoring and trouble-shooting IPSec VPN tunnels using
Cisco VPN Concentrator as well as PIX firewalls.
Capable of managing a Wireless Infrastructure with more than 100 Access Points.
Understands and adheres to the principles of Change Management.
Well refined documentation and communication skills.
Exposure to VoIP, IP Telephony, and Call Management a plus.
Understands and plans for Disaster Recovery scenarios.
Responsible for developing, maintaining and reporting capacity and utilization reports.
Complete Trouble Calls in a timely fashion with adequate documentation.
On-call responsibilities – candidate participates in an on-call rotation for Network Services
as both a primary and secondary resource.
Scheduled Days / Hours: M-F 8a-4p
Bachelors of Science Degree in related discipline.
3 years of Infrastructure experience (Network, Server, and Desktop).
2-3 years experience with maintaining the day-to-day operations of mid-sized LAN/WAN.
Required License/Certifications/ Registration: CCNA, CCDA – required.
CCNP, CCDP – preferred.
MCSA, MCSE, CCSA, Nokia - preferred.
