Short Description
Job Summary
The Security Engineer works closely with business and IT to determine business process and productivity needs and develop the necessary technology strategy to support the business goals. The Security Engineer will protect and support technical needs, requirements, and the state of the network’s infrastructure design, integration, and operations. Work with technical management to optimize networks that effectively reflect business needs, service-level and availability requirements, and other technology parameters
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support design principles for the security of the physical network perimeter and internal protection of the organization’s network.
- Support and develop models, plans, internal standards, budgets, and processes based on industry best practices. Support governing principles for network design and deployment.
- Participate in selection of networking technologies and products for implementation
Update network documentation, review logs and reports, support service-level and availability requirements.
- Support design principles for the security of the physical network perimeter and internal protection of the organization’s network.
- Support models, plans, internal standards, budgets, and processes based on industry best practices.
- Support governing principles for network design and deployment.
- Participate in selection of networking technologies and products for implementation resolution
- Demonstrate Project management skills to include identifying sequential task order, milestones, deliverables and measureable work effort required
- Continually update understanding of business and technology status and objectives and respond to strategic design requests as the business evolves.
- Support with the day to day incidents and requests activities and assist other team members as neededm members
- Maintain technical skill sets that spans but not limited to cabling, switching & routing, data security, wireless, network monitoring and alerting, electrical requirements, LAN/WAN integration
- Develop and maintain organizational policies and procedures relating to the infrastructure and telephony space.
- Demonstrates strong organizational core values
- Develop and maintain up to date documentation relating to the infrastructure and telephony space

Experience Required
0-1 years experience required
2-4 years experience preferred
Education Requirements
High School/GED required. Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
Special Requirements
Scheduled Days / Hours: Monday to Friday
Customer focus and positive, can-do approach is critical. required
Must have good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required
Minimum of 2 years experience in IT Infrastructure, Security, Firewalls, VPNs, Operations, Administration, and Network Engineering. preferred
Strong analytical, technical and troubleshooting skills preferred
