Short Description:

The Cooper University Hospital Division of Critical Care Medicine is seeking motivated Physician Assistants (PA) or Advanced Practice Nurses (APN) to join an excellent clinical practice in multidisciplinary critical care medicine.

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Assessment and diagnosis of patients referred to the critical care consultation service
  2. Resuscitation management of critically ill patients
  3. Performance of indicated bedside procedures
  4. Participation in critical care service daily rounds in frontline clinician capacity
  5. Consultation with other members of the health care team
  6. Patient and staff education
  7. Participation in clinical research initiatives

Successful applicants will have appropriate APN or PA academic training, be able to obtain a license to practice in New Jersey, and be willing to receive mentorship in the practice of critical care medicine."

Special Requirements:

Scheduled Days/Hours: Day of the week will vary; Per Diem - as needed; work every third weekend and rotational holiday schedule; expectation to do some nights, for now once a month.

Education: MASTER’S (Nursing or Physician Assistant) is required.

License/Certifications: New Jersey APN license or New Jersey PA license is required; Board certified as an Acute Care APN; American Heart Association BLS & ACLS certifications.
