Short Description

The Manager of Cadence Business Systems Optimization is tasked with providing actionable business intelligence to our customers in the form of reporting via Business Objects/Universe and  Epic, which will help to leverage the capacity of our robust data warehouse. This data will provide guidance on meeting institutional and departmental goals and objectives related to provider template optimization.

The manager will lead a team that is responsible for conducting Template Optimization Assessments in concert with departmental leadership and advising committees engaged in process improvement initiatives throughout the organization. The team works closely with Institute leadership, Information Services and Patient Access Center on various projects supporting both access, financial and operational improvement objectives.

Chiefly, the ideal candidate will have a substantial background in clinic or hospital administration, information technology, revenue cycle, and/or other health disciplines in order to act as an internal management consultant and change agent within the organization by planning, directing, implementing, and managing optimization projects to improve cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency. Responsible for providing pointed operational, business process, workflow, and data analysis consulting services to Practice Managers, Directors of Operations, and Senior Executive Leadership across 100+ ambulatory physician practices.


Special Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare or equivalent field is required.

Master’s degree is in Business, Health Administration, Public Health or equivalent is also required but can be acceptably substituted with 2-3 years of additional relevant work experience.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience (skills and sustainable applied knowledge in business analysis and reporting)

Experience with SAP and EPIC systems

Ability to make recommendations for workflow based on EPIC system capabilities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Standard desktop applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

Strong analytical and quantitative skill set to resolve complex technical and administrative problems

Proven ability to conceptualize and analyze complex issues

Substantial interpersonal skills to exchange information and resolve problems; Must be a strong team player.

Excellent oral and written communication with presentation skills necessary to interact diplomatically with diverse groups of people, exchange information and produce written correspondence

Ability to direct multiple projects in addition to having an understanding of the ways in which information technology is applied within the enterprise

Demonstrates effective communication with technical team, at all levels and with users at a non-technical and clinical level

From current knowledge of Hospital and functional unit priorities, compliance standards and organizational procedures, the ideal candidate will exhibit ability to continually and quickly assess status of problems and develop plans of action for proposed changes and outcomes in concert with Institute leaders and in alignment with the goals and objectives of senior leadership.
