Short Description

The Manager, Insights and Analytics will be responsible for driving the design, development and ongoing enhancement of analytical tools across assigned business units. This highly visible position will be part of the Enterprise Analytics team and the individual in this role will act as a champion and change agent for business analytics by driving the adoption of a culture of data-driven decision making within the assigned areas.

The Manager will be someone who loves to bring data together to answer a diverse array of business questions that support the realization of operational and strategic goals. With minimal supervision, he /she will collaborate with stakeholders from technical and operational teams to synthesize and derive actionable business insights related to specific business questions. He /she will provide leadership for various analytical projects throughout their lifecycle, starting with conceptual and methodological design through to the presentation of findings and insights to business leaders.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated entrepreneurial individual who can easily function in a high demand and results-driven environment. He /she must have strong analytical and communication skills, and a passion for using data to drive decision-making at the operational and strategic levels. He /she will develop strong working relations with business partners to define and understand the drivers of business success. He /she will leverage on all available data sources to “connect the dots” and derive practical insights that facilitate strategic and operational decision-making.

• Lead efforts to deploy the Enterprise Analytics strategy of transforming data into actionable and timely insights that help to drive business growth operational efficiency
• Lead discussions with leaders in assigned business areas to understand their analytical needs (information or business intelligence needed for operational and strategic initiatives)
• Collaborate with leaders in assigned business areas to research and understand the drivers of success as well as the corresponding Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Identify, define and validate the corresponding metrics and data elements
• Capture and translate the multifaceted analytical needs and into a logical format that will enable the design and development of analytical solutions (dashboards, studies and models)
• Collaborate with the technical teams to acquire, cleanse, validate and model the data necessary to meet the defined analytical needs. Lead efforts to design, develop and deploy analytical tools that will provide timely and actionable insights to business drive decision-making
• Leverage on comprehensive knowledge and expertise in business analytics to ensure that the appropriate methodological approaches, measurements and analytical techniques are utilized throughout all stages of the business analytics lifecycle
• Leverage on Agile Methodologies to prioritize critical analytical initiatives, guide overall project management of those initiatives, and create an effective communications approach that enables stakeholders to clearly understand the status of current and future initiatives
• Enhance the utility of deployed analytical tools by providing ongoing support in interpreting and presenting related insights using and easy-to-understand reports and presentations. Resolve issues and monitor utilization to ensure continued effectiveness of the solutions
• Broaden and deepen working relations with leaders in assigned business units and proactively identifying opportunities to utilize a hypothesis-driven problem-solving approach to address business challenges with high operational and strategic relevance
• Nurture a culture of analytical innovation and disruption by providing cross-industry insights on best practices for utilizing analytical solutions to drive business decision-making
• Perform ad hoc analyses, and other duties and projects as assigned

Special Requirements

• Advanced degree such as an MBA or Master’s degree in relevant disciplines (e.g., Data Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences)
• 3+ years of professional experience in ambulatory or physician operations management
• 5+ years of professional experience in business analytics or other quantitative discipline in a data-centric business environment, preferably within the healthcare industry
Required License/Certifications/ Registration:
Other Qualifications: • Strong client engagement skills with the ability to translate strategic and operational challenges into analytical projects and actions that are solution-driven
• Strong communication skills with an ability to translate complex analytical results into actionable recommendations through compelling and easy-to-digest reports and presentations
• Ability to handle multiple work assignment, manage multiple projects and priorities; and provide technical leadership in a an ambiguous and fast-paced environment
• Ability to effectively partner across all levels of the organization to provide thought leadership and guidance in the journey to create a data-driven leadership culture
• Demonstrated expertise in collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to generate fact-based recommendations and measurement of performance
• Working knowledge of various analytical and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, Domo)
