Short Description:


Manages operational and financial activities of the residency/fellowship program(s). Maintains Program Letters of Agreement (PLA). Manages resident and faculty rotations, curriculum, schedules, meetings and monthly evaluations. Provides oversight of residency/fellowship programs in regards to ACGME compliance. Recruits potential residents/fellows via the following methods: Campaign planning, application process and review, scheduling coordinating interview, establishing and maintaining data files for use in preparaiton of rank list for match, corresponding with candidates.

At times, the position requires employee to work Saturdays, stay later, and arrive earlier than normal schedule. When this happens, employee will flex their time, to a 40 hour week. Advance notice is provided. Scheduled Days / Hours: 6a-2:30p.

• Education Coordinator for visiting Trauma, Pediatric Surgery, Plastic and General Surgery programs.

• CME Program coordination for Plastic Surgery Division/Program. Maintain compliance with all ACCME requirements for CME program, including staffing meetings, sending confirmation letters, notification of upcoming CME activities.

• Provide administrative support to Office of Surgical Education.

Special Requirements:


Education and Expeirience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred. May be substituted for Associate’s Degree and 3+ years of experience in Graduate Medical Education.

Minimum of 2 years in an academic and/or administrative healthcare setting.

Experience in Graduate Medical Education preferred.

Additional Requirements:

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Residency/Fellow tracking software New Innovations.

Knowledge of Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) rules/regulations.

Familiarity with residency program software systems including Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) also preferred.
