Short Description

Responsible for enhancing, supporting, and maintaining applications and hardware within the IT Ancillary Applications space for the Cooper Health System. Those areas include but are, not limited to Inpatient floors, Neurology, Radiology, and Cardiology and many other specialty departments.

Experience supporting hardware and software including workstations, servers both Linux and Windows, and support network devices required. Working knowledge of DHCP, DNS, workstation imaging, and system health monitoring preferred.

Knowledge of Imaging applications, DICOM and HL7, structured reporting applications considered a plus.

Ability to communicate and document effectively. Motivated with desire to learn new technologies. Self-starter with capability to work independently and within the immediate team of front line analysts.

Frequent on-site support for hardware issues or installation of Windows workstations or various patient-facing devices in the imaging or inpatient or ambulatory care setting.

Provide complex qualitative and quantitative analysis on data and information collected as part of application requirement gathering.

Gather requirements, provide fit gap analysis and create effective technical solutions for the business needs.

Design, validate and confirm new or changed functionality with the supported application environment that meets customer specifications.

Demonstrate ability to implement and manage small to medium projects.

Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot, research and solve technically challenging problems involving integrated systems.

Accountable as the application subject matter expert (SME) when assigned to project teams.
Serve as a liaison between end users, subject matter experts and technical support.
Create and maintain test scripts in support of new installations, projects, and/or system updates.
Assist with the administrative, technical, and customer-facing duties surrounding the successful project implementation of system updates and changes.
Consistently meets project deadlines and goes the extra mile to ensure dates are met.
Monitors interfaces with external systems and resolves issues in interface work queues.
Responsible for keeping all documentation up-to-date

Work closely with business users and application team to design, build and execute a comprehensive integration and user acceptance test scripts.

Experience Required

Experience in Healthcare IT preferred.

CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco CCNA certifications preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.

2-4 years experience required

Education Requirements

Associate's degree preferred

Special Requirements

Scheduled Days / Hours: 80

Minimum 4 days per week on site required

Participation in a scheduled 24x7 On-Call support model
