Assume responsibility for advanced nursing practice within a clinical specialty.
In consultation with other members ofthe health care team, strengthens nursing practice and promotes positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of patients, staff and patient education, and research.
The Advanced Practice Nurse serves as a significant member of the multidisciplinary health care team in the inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
Scheduled Days / Hours: Day shift full time (40 hours weekly) Monday-Friday
Graduate from a master's level program.
Graduate from an NLN approved School of Nursing
Required License/Certifications/ Registration:
NJ RN License.
NJ APN License.
Certificate in Specialty area as needed.
Current BLS certification.
Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Prescriptive practice is based on the development of written joint protocols with collaborating physician.
These protocols are reviewed, updated and signed yearly.
Receives approval from the Nurse Credentialing Committee.
